Small size and quiet, fan-less operation are the very special characteristics of a Mini PC 105 or 105s. The x86-based, power-saving AMD Geode LX-800 processor makes minimal power consumption of five to ten watts possible. The power savings pays for itself over a very short time frame in comparison with the consumption of a standard PC. The construction approach, without a fan, and the low power consumption make it possible to mount a Mini PC 105/105s in an unventilated rack. A sturdy aluminum case and numerous connections recommend the Mini PC 105s, which has an additional parallel and two additional serial ports, in particular for the rigorous industrial environment. It comes configured with Windows XP Embedded or Windows XP Professional and can be remotely controlled over a LAN (XP & BIOS updates, LAN-based booting, recovery, on & off, etc). |
| A 2.5“ hard disk serves as storage medium for Mini PC’s with XP Professional. Mini PCs with XP Embedded work with industrial FlashROM memory and no moving parts. An optional, VESA-compliant mount cradle is available for mounting on displays or wall mountings. |
